Small fire at local elementary school

Fire Crews are on the scene of a small fire at Monroe Elementary in Colorado Springs.
The call came in around 2pm on Friday afternoon to the school located at 12 S. Chelton Rd.

Senators ask for more money to fight wildfires

Senators Mark Udall (D-Colo.) and John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) announced today that they plan to offer a bipartisan amendment to the 2014 U.S. Senate budget to increase the funding availability for fighting wildfires and modernizing the air tanker fleet by $100 million.

Wildfire burning near Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS - Poudre Fire Authority is responding to a reported fire in Lory State Park.
Smoke is visible from downtown Fort Collins.
According to emergency radio traffic, there are structures threatened, including the Lory State Park headquarters
