A Severe Thunderstorm Watch will be active until 10pm for Baca, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Prowers, Yuma, Logan, Sedgwick, Phillips and Washington counties in eastern Colorado. Conditions are ripe for violent thunderstorms to develop across far eastern Colorado. Large hail and damaging wind are likely with todays storms. Severe thunderstorms can also produce tornadoes. People in far eastern Colorado should be ready for threatening weather between now and 10pm.

Fremont County Sheriff's Deputy, Joseph Bonfadini is under arrest on a sex assault warrant.
He was taken into custody Wednesday during a traffic stop in Pueblo County. He is currently behind bars with no bond.
Bonfadini has been with the sheriff's office since January 2013.
