Temperatures on Tuesday felt more like January not April. But in typical Spring fashion we rebounded nicely today. In Colorado Springs the high was 53 degrees, Pueblo and Canon City had highs of 54. The warmest temperature in Colorado was at Grand Junction with 66 degrees. The warmest temperature in the nation today was at Ocotillo, CA with a high of 97.

Still snowing west of I-25 tonight. A look at snow totals as of 9:30pm. Boulder 3", Estes Park 3", Breckenridge 4", 4 miles west of Buena Vista 4.5", Ward 7".

March precipitation totals were way below average. In Colorado Springs .18" fell during the month of March, normal would be around 1 inch. Pueblo recorded .21" last month, a normal March would bring .93" of moisture.

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has scheduled major upgrades to the radar located in northern Pueblo County, and those upgrades begin this weekend.

The storm track has been focused over the northern mountains of Colorado much of the past 2 months and that has brought epic snow totals to the area. At Arapahoe Basin 10 feet of snow has fallen over the past 2 months. Even better news at the Loveland Ski resort, almost 12 feet of snow has piled up just in the past 60 days.

C-DOT has closed US HWY 50 east of Pueblo in both directions from Pueblo to Rocky Ford. Crews say the closure is due to conditions in the area getting worse. Now word on when the highway will reopen.

El Paso County road crews are working on cleaning roads in the eastern part on the county.
All the main roads are cleared and sanded and now the focus is on rural and residential areas.
This is a loader-mounted blower working on a gravel road this morning in one of the many areas that have drifts from last night's storm as well as leftover snow that drifted from the previous storm.
