A storm system will bring clouds and colder temperatures on Tuesday with rain and snow showers in the mix. Best chance of moisture in eastern Colorado will be tomorrow afternoon and during the night. Light accumulations are possible mainly on grassy surfaces by late tomorrow night. The Wet and Sangre de Cristo mountains could get 3-6" by early Wednesday morning. Dry skies Wednesday through Friday with a strong warming trend.

An EF 1 tornado touched down 1 mile south of Somerset, Kentucky today. The storm focused on the Ferguson community, concrete walls of a warehouse building suffered substantial damage. Several homes in the area were also damaged. Thunderstorms produced golf ball size hail in Franklin, Kentucky.

Skies will become partly cloudy overnight tonight. Thursday will feature morning sunshine then afternoon clouds with a few snow showers over the mountains and a sprinkle possible on the plains. No serious changes Friday or Saturday, comfortable temperatures with a 20% chance of a brief pm shower. Easter Sunday looks dry and mild. A storm will push in Monday with rain and snow showers and much colder air.

Mostly clear and cold again tonight. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and much warmer, high temperatures about 15 degrees warmer than today. The warming trend will continue into the weekend. A few light rain showers could develop on Saturday otherwise plan on dry skies through the Easter Holiday.

Two locations in Southern Colorado broke record lows Sunday morning.
Pueblo cooled to 5 degrees, breaking the previous record 10 degrees set in 1965.
Alamosa hit -4 Sunday, breaking the former record of 2 degrees (above zero) set in 1936.

Gusty wind until late tonight with a few scattered showers. A mix of clouds and sun on Friday with much colder air. Snow possible late Friday and especially Saturday. Wind gusts to 35 mph Saturday will cause blowing snow over northern El Paso county into northeast Colorado. Weekend temperatures won't even hit the freezing mark along the I-25 corridor. Temperatures stay unseasonably cold through the middle of next week.

A few rain and snow showers tomorrow with gusty wind during the afternoon. A stronger storm arrives late Friday into Saturday with wind, snow and much colder air. Prime time for snow will be Saturday. Wind could gust up to 35 mph creating blowing snow over northern El Paso county into northeast Colorado. Wind will continue to blow until around sunset this evening, gusts up to 40 mph some areas. Tuesday will be a little cooler with just light breezes. A little warmer mid week before a strong storm brings a big change Friday into the weekend. It's still early but snow is possible late Friday into Saturday with high temperatures on Saturday only in the 30's.

Record heat today from the Front Range to the San Luis Valley. In Colorado Springs the high was 73 degrees, that breaks the old record of 71 set in 1935. Pueblo hit 80 this afternoon breaking the old record of 76 set in 1999. Denver had a record high of 76, Alamosa set a record with 70. The hot spot in Colorado today was Lamar with 85 degrees.
