11-Year-old Brazilian boy stops traffic to rescue dog

It's not unusual for dogs to be hit by cars and left for dead in the Brazilian city of Itajaí, according to local a local vererinarian.  However, it is unusual for someone to brave busy traffic to rescue a downed animal.  Jean Fernandes, who is 11 years old, did just that.   Brazilian news website Guarda-Sol posted photos that show Fernandes darting into traffic to pull the dog, named Honey, from the street.  According to biobiochile.cl, the dog is still under vetrinary care and is doing well.
