The 12-year-old brother of a California girl found stabbed to death in her home last month will be charged with homicide.
Police took the boy into custody this weekend and said they will charge him with homicide in his sister's murder.
Leila Fowler, 8, was found stabbed to death on April 27.
The pastor who delivered the eulogy at Fowler's funeral spoke about the community's response.
"I believe that this community will be resilient, that there could be in this time a great outpouring of God's power in our churches, and that people will be drawn to a place where they can in fact find hope again and trust for their lives," said Pastor Jeff Mitchell.
The revelation has come as a shock to the small, tight-knit Valley Springs community of just over 7,000.
