DENVER (AP) - Seventeen people were arrested in a New Year's Day standoff following a suspected home invasion in Denver.

Denver Police say the standoff happened after officers were called to a possible home robbery early Saturday morning near Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. Police tell The Denver Post that when officers arrived, they found that two juvenile robbery suspects had moved to a nearby home and barricaded themselves inside.

Several hours later, the two juveniles were arrested on robbery charges, with 15 more people arrested for allegedly interfering with police operations. No one was hurt in the standoff, though police say it took hours to clear the home.
