2 dogs rescued off 14er

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) - Two dogs are safe after more than 20 rescuers pulled them off a Colorado mountain.

Authorities say two climbers and their two dogs ran into a problem July 24 descending Quandary Peak, which is over 14,000 feet high.

According to the Denver Post, both climbers were able to walk out, but the dogs were unable to follow. Two rescue members emptied the contents of their packs and created pouches for the dogs.
