Colorado Springs Police say one man has life-threatening injuries after a fight that escalated into a stabbing early Saturday morning. It happened around 12:40 a.m. at the intersection of East Lake and Cheyenne Mtn. Blvd (near Harrison Rd. & Rand Ave.). Police say two vehicles were stopped at the intersection and the men inside those vehicles began to fight. One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the other repeatedly in the face, neck and chest. Officers say the victim has life-threatening injuries. The wife of the victim was also stabbed in the arm when she tried to defend her husband.
The suspect left the scene, and has not yet been found. Officers say he is a black man, 25-30 years old who was seen driving a dark-colored Land Rover. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Springs Police at 444-7000.
