2nd arrest in stolen dog tags case

The El Paso County Sheriff's office has made a second arrest in the theft of a dead airman's dog tags and other items. Unfortunately, the items have not been found.

Deputies had been searching for Dwain Boyd since arresting Denard Thompson earlier this month.

The items were stolen from a rental car February 9th. Tiffany Smith and her mother-in-law were in Colorado Springs for a memorial service for Tiffany's late husband, Senior Airman Bradley Smith. The two went inside a restaurant to eat. When they came out the the dog tags, a lap top and digital camera were gone.

Airman Smith was killed in Afghanistan, alongside soldiers from Ft. Carson.

Boyd has been charged with Felony Theft, First Degree Criminal Trespass, Conspiracy, and Obstruction.
