40 evacuated after Breckenridge ski lift stalls

BRECKENRIDGE, Colorado (AP) - About 40 people have been evacuated from a ski lift at the Breckenridge Ski Resort after the lift stalled.
Resort officials say no one was injured in the incident Thursday afternoon on the Peak 8 SuperConnect lift.
The Summit Daily News reports (http://tinyurl.com/cvl52sw) skiers and snowboarders were lowered to safety by ropes.
The incident was blamed on an unspecified mechanical problem.
