DENVER, CO- More than 53,000 people in Colorado have now signed up and been approved for health coverage under the state's health care marketplace.
Those numbers can be deceiving, though. Some 47,309 people are insured through medicaid. The remaining 6,001 selected private plans through Connect For Health Colorado. That's up from 3,700 in the first month. Connect For Health Colorado has set a six month goal of 136,000 purchasers.
On the national front, with 12 days left to make President Obama's new deadline to fix HealthCare.gov.
On Monday, the website team reported weekend repairs dropped the error rate to 1%, with more speed.
The White House set a goal for 80% functionality by December 1. A former President Obama insider says that's the number because its doable, and it needs to be.
Democrats nationwide are worried the political disaster will get even worse if the website isn't mostly functional by the self-imposed deadline.
