Mary Majka is well known in New Brunswick, Canada as an environmentalist and bird watcher. She lives in Mary's Point, a preserve where birds gather to migrate to South America for the winter. Mary's been watching them for years and now she's using an iPad to share her passion with others.
Her son sent it to her. He works for Apple's CEO Steve Jobs.
At 87, Mary admits to being intimidated when she received it-- but she persevered, "I just couldn't keep it on my lap and admire it."
Mary now shares her love of birds in three languages--English, German and Polish.
