Overall, Southern Colorado will be taking a break from the rain that has been falling along the Front Range. That said, an isolated shower cannot be ruled out. The best chance for rain will be in the mountains west of I-25, and even there the chance is not necessarily great.
With the drying out comes a warm-up. Temperatures will warm into the mid-to-upper 80's today area wide. Even warmer temperatures are on the way for July 4th and into the weekend, and many of us could see high temperatures in the 90's.
Early signs are the monsoon could open up Sunday and bring scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoons beginning Sunday and continuing into next week.
