A brief wintry blast for the weekend

A fast-moving storm from the west will blast across Colorado over the next 24 hours, bringing wind and heavy snow to the mountains (so travel westward is not your best choice until the storm moves out of the state), and a combination of wind rain and snow to the eastern Plains. Expect the unsettled conditions through Sunday, with increasing sunshine Monday (with a few lingering showers).  You'll get more sunshine and warmer temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday, with windy days on Thursday and Friday, as another cold front moves through. Saturday looks sunny and mild at this point.
