WASHINGTON (AP) - One of the new Republican lawmakers arriving in Washington says her party is in a good position to "change business-as-usual in Washington."
Senator-elect Kelly Ayotte (AY'-aht) of New Hampshire says Republicans will be focusing on cutting spending and helping businesses grow and hire.
She delivered the GOP weekly address, saying the next Congress marks a new chapter for the country and the GOP.
Ayotte also said the U.S. must remain vigilant in the face of continuing threats from terrorists.
