Many areas will stay dry today, but a few showers cannot be ruled out. Areas west of I-25 near the mountains are the most likely to see the rain, but rain will not necessarily be widespread. The main area of rain will likely be south of us over New Mexico. When? The sun will shine with just a few clouds until about noon. After noon, clouds start to thicken up a bit. After 2:00, an upslope breeze revs up and will help to generate thicker clouds and that slight increase of spotty showers. Again, though, I want to emphasize that not all areas will see rain, and the rain will be much more abundant down south in New Mexico and also west of us in the High Country.
Temperatures will be warmer today than yesterday. We will warm into the 40's between 8:00 and 9:00 and into the 50's by 11:00. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 60's around Colorado Springs and Monument with mid-to-upper 60's along and south of the Arkansas River, including Pueblo and Cañon City, and 50's for Teller County.
