Dry air aloft associated with high pressure building westward from the Great Plains will limit shower and thunderstorm activity around our area. Enough humidity is still present near the ground that a stray late afternoon thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. That is especially true in the mountains west of I-25.
High temperatures today will be in the mid-to-upper 80's around Colorado Springs with 90's for Pueblo, Cañon City, and most other areas along and south of the Arkansas River. Teller County and Monument Hill will warm into the mid-to-upper 70's.
