Colorado Springs Police received a call around 1:47 pm that a driver of a maroon SUV was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-25 near the North Nevada interchange.
A police officer attempted to stop the driver, 49-year-old Scott Loos near the Garden of the Gods Road but Loss reportedly drove past the officer's cruiser just missing it.
With the help of stop sticks, police were able to flatten the two front tires of the vehicle even though Loss continued driving southbound for approximately a quarter of a mile before coming to a stop.
The suspect was detained and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation by medical staff and a Colorado Springs Police Department DUI Officer.
The suspect was later arrested for DUID.
Fortunately, there were no injuries to report
