Update: Highway 24 now open after fatal accident

Highway 24 is back open, after being closed for a few hours in both directions, in eastern El Paso County.
The accident happened just after 10 a.m.
The State Patrol said two vehicles were traveling west on Highway 24. The vehicle in front started to make a left turn on Palomino Road and was struck from behind.
The driver in the first car died at the scene. She was identified as Jennifer Moss, 44, of Calhan. The second driver was Janet Decker of Simla. She had three children in the car. None of them were seriously hurt.
