AFA Typo Provokes Public Opinion

The Air Force Academy is at the center of a debate over a few words which many believe make a big difference.

Omission of the words "So help me, God" from the academy oath prompted a billboard and strong reaction from people on both sides of the religious freedom issue.

The billboard says "Are you free to say so help me God?, they did" and stems from the omission of "so help me god" from the AFA handbook.

The AFA told us is was only a typo and accidentally omitted from the oath in its handbook.

The academy says the phrase will be included in next year's handbook.
