There was a large show of support Thursday evening, for a school administrator in Rush who says she was suspended for bringing wrongdoing to light. Marsha Brewer is a student services secretary. She says the transcript for the school board president's son was tampered. Brewer claims it showed that the senior got credit for a psychology class he never took, to boost his applications for college.
School board president Jim Day says the claims are false. He says his son's transcript was never touched and that he would "bet his life" that the transcript is exactly how it should be.
An independent source is investigating the claims, and the investigation should be complete by December 1st. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has been contacted about the allegations, but no charges have been filed at this time.
