Amnesty Box Makes Debut at Colorado Springs Airport

Passengers flying out of Colorado Springs Airport now have a place to dispose of pot before boarding their flight. An amnesty box is set up outside of the security check point for the disposal of marijuana, as well as vitamins and prescription drugs among other things.

"I think they're probably a good idea," says passenger Leonard Oliva. "It's better to leave it here at the airport than get federal charges against you."

You are allowed to leave marijuana in your car while it's parked at the airport. Passengers can receive a fine of up to $2,500 if they are found trying to conceal the drug while flying.
