WASHINGTON, IL- Another person has died as a result of the November 17th tornado that ripped through central Illinois.
A coroner determined 82-year-old Rosamund Allison of Washington died from injuries she sustained when the tornado hit her house.
Family members and witnesses say Allison was picked up by the tornado, pulled out of her house and dropped onto a pile of debris. Neighbors pulled her to safety, but she died from her injuries on Thanksgiving night.
Allison is the second death in Washington blamed on the tornado, and the seventh in Illinois.
"But our hearts go out to them, and it just reminds us, we kept saying one, Mr. Newbauer, but now it's two, and hopefully we don't receive any more news from this deadly storm," said Washington Mayor Gary Manier.
Two dozen tornadoes hit Illinois on November 17th, killing seven and damaging or destroying some 2,400 homes.
