Anti-Bullying event in Colorado Springs

The Citadel Mall hosted a back to school fashion event tonight to promote efforts to stop bullying. "Stand Up, Speak Out" is a concert sponsored by Falcon School District 49. The goal is to raise awareness of all the damage bullying causes.

The show is billed as a different way to learn about this tough topic and what can be done to stop it. Adrienne DeBauche, a District 49 student, tells us about some of the struggles of being bullied, "You struggle to find something to look forward to. A lot of kids don't come to school, because they are being bullied, so, we want everybody to have something to look forward to."

Allison Olean, another student says, "Bullying can be anything from Tweeting something about somebody or tagging them in a picture saying how terrible they are, or any type of that. Even texting them just saying 'I don't like you."
