Did you meet your soulmate on a chairlift at A-Basin? Spend your youth zipping down the slopes? If so, you may be interested in owning a piece of nostalgia.
Arapahoe Basin is selling off chairs from its Exhibition lift. It was installed in 1978 and carries three people on each chair.
A-Basin is replacing it this summer with a $4 million high-speed one that can carry four people on each chair.
The ski area plans to sell 110 chairs from the Exhibition lift online starting at 8 a.m. Saturday for $450 apiece. It plans to donate the last eight chairs to Summit County organizations for fundraising purposes.
The 176-pound chairs are 9 feet, 8 inches tall, 2 feet deep and 5 feet-6-inches wide.
Chairs are available for pickup June 11 and 12, after the resort's scheduled closing day June 6.
