Armed man killed in shootout at Mormon temple

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) -- A man armed with a shotgun was shot and killed by police Christmas Day outside a Mormon temple.
Fox13 says police the man had been in an altercation with
another man outside the Oquirrh Mountain Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Jordan.
When police arrived, the ordered the shotgun-toting man to drop the weapon. When he refused, officers opened fire. It was not clear how many shots were fired by police.
Both Draper and West Jordan police were at the scene Saturday.
The dead man has not been identified.
Police say they found more guns, ammunition and swords inside the man's car.
