Army chaplain honored at Fort Carson

A funeral was held at Fort Carson Thursday morning for Captain Dale Goetz, an Army chaplain killed last week in Afghanistan.
Goetz was killed when a roadside bomb exploded. He was one of several men who died when their convoy was hit near Kandahar province. He will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetary in Denver.
A group of about two dozen people lined the road outside Fort Carson carrying signs in support of our troops. Rumors had circulated that a church group from Kansas would rally at Fort Carson, but that group's website showed only one protest scheduled -- that one in Skokie, Illinois.
