Arrest made in 7 Eleven robbery from May 29th

Colorado Springs Police have announced an arrest in the armed robbery that took place on May 29th at the 7 Eleven store on Mount View Lane. Reportedly a male suspect entered the store demanding money and assaulted the store clerk in the process of the robbery.

The store clerk sustained head injuries in the assault. When investigators arrived to gather evidence, they were able to obtain the video surveillance recordings which showed a lone white male, wearing a knit cap enter the store, conduct the robbery and assault and then flee in a dark colored Dodge pick-up. With this and other information investigators were able to follow leads identifying a potential suspect.

On June 2nd detectives obtained a warrant and were able to arrest and charge 25 year old Johnathan Krizek with Aggravated Robbery. Krizek is currently residing at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center awaiting his court dates.
