Arson investigators and detectives with the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office suspect a car fire that burned three vehicles Sunday morning was intentionally started. The blaze apparently began around 9:30 a.m. inside a Cadillac Escalade that was parked at the northwest corner of the intersection of N. Pueblo Boulevard and 11th Street.
The wind caught the flames and burned two additional vehicles that were parked next to it. Firefighters have completely doused the vehicles and deputies have reopened 11th St. west of the intersection.
A witness tells me she saw a man jump out of the Escalade and into a waiting vehicle that sped away just before the fire started. Investigators are looking for evidence that the fire was intentionally set before officially ruling the fire as arson.
