Aspirin may help in the fight against breast cancer

A new study of breast cancer cells in mice with the disease suggests aspirin can slow the growth of the cancer and reduce the size of tumors.

Researchers at the University of Kansas found the popular painkiller may block the proliferation of new, cancerous cells, which stops growth and prevents the spread of breast cancer.

The research was presented at a medical conference and needs to be verified in more studies.
