Woodland Park Police have released a statement following the autopsy of Mindy Lynn Lee.

The autopsy was completed this morning and medical personnel from the El Paso County Coroner's Office stating that while the final determination of Mindy Lee's death is still pending toxicology results, all of the preliminary results point to hypothermia as the cause of death.

Examination notes say that Minor cuts, scratches and physical evidence noted on her body area consistent with those expected to be found as a result of a person running through a field in the darkness and are also consistent with the initial reports made to the Woodland Park Police Department by those that were with her when she reportedly ran from the vehicle she had been in.

Mindy Lee's family was notified of the preliminary outcome of the autopsy by Teller County Coroner, Dr. Earl Byrne, after the completion of the autopsy.
