The search continues for the man accused of killing one and injuring another at the Autozone near Palmer Park and Powers Blvd.

Police have not yet released the name of the man killed in the parking lot.

The other, Don Laroe, was shot inside the store. He is being treated at Memorial Hospital and is recovering. This afternoon, his condition was upgraded from "fair" to "good."

Neighbors say Laroe loved to work on his truck and would always lend a helpful hand to neighbors.

Neighbors are surprised about the shooting and want others to be careful.

"Hang onto your loved ones, you know. And if you don't need to go out at night, don't. I mean, we live in a wonderful community but you never know. Things happen," says neighbor Mike Puleo.

The suspect goes by two names -- Ernest Schmidt or Edward Coffey. He is considered armed and dangerous and citizens should not approach him if they see him. Please call 911 if he is seen.
