Avalanche top line ready for game three

They may be easy to forget, but the Avs have hit hard times in both playoff games so far. But they've responded, just like they have all season, to win those games. And now, after Saturday's win, they have a 2-0 series lead.

The wild scored first, but the top Avs linemates of Paul Stastny, Gabe Landeskog, and Nathan MacKinnon exploded, accounting for every goal and assist in a 4-2 win. Now the Avalanche have a commanding series advantage.

"Our team has been doing such a good job of everybody contributing," says Avalanche Forward Gabe Landeskog. "Everybody is really working hard, and whether you score or not, we've still been creating momentum down in their zone and that gives us an opportunity to go out there and do what we need to do to. My linemates certainly made some nice plays."

"We have to forget about them, it's a brand new mini series," Nathan MacKinnon says of the first two games. "We've got two over there and, obviously, we're going to focus on game three."

The team left Sunday for St. Paul. Game three is Monday. Injured star Matt Duchene made the trip, he could start skating tomorrow.
