With all the youth in the Avalanche locker room, it was easy to overlook Jean-Sebastian Giguere this year. But he'll never be forgotten now that he's hanging it up.
The 37 year old played very well in relief of Semyon Varlamov this season, 11-6-and-1, and leaves the game with a stellar resume. 15 years, 262 wins, and a save percentage over 91 percent.
He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in 1995, played his best hockey for the Anaheim Ducks where he won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the best goalie twice, the first in 2003, the second the same year they won the Stanley Cup, 2007.
