Avs sign Hejduk to one-year deal

DENVER (AP) - The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Milan Hejduk to a one-year contract through the 2011-12 season.
Hejduk completed his 12th season with the Avs last season, scoring 22 goals. The 35-year-old Czech native has scored at least 20 goals in 11 consecutive seasons.
The Denver Post reported Wednesday the one-year deal is worth $2.6 million and could reach $3 million with incentives.
