Baby Monitors Recalled

Concerns about overheating and rupturing batteries have forced the recall of a dozen different type of baby monitors.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says about 800,000 rechargeable batteries used in monitors made by Summer Infant have been recalled.
The CPSC says the batteries can overheat and rupture.
Summer Infant has received 22 such reports, including incidents of smoke and minor property damage.
The batteries are about 1 and 1/2 inches tall by 2 and 1/4 wide and are marked "TCL" on the lower-right corner.
The units were sold between 2010 and 2012 and cost between $150 and $350.
Consumers should remove the battery and contact Summer Infant for a replacement battery.
The monitor can continue to be used with the power cord.
