The Colorado Balloon Classic in Memorial Park was off to a fabulous start today. Yesterday, winds were over 40mph, preventing balloons from launching. Today, winds died down and balloons took flight.
Around 70 balloons took off starting at 7am.
Tens of thousands of people came to see the balloons inflate and fly in the beautiful Colorado air. The majestic Pike Peak back was in the backdrop. It truly was a picture perfect morning.
After balloons left the park, there were concessions, games, and a whole lot more for everyone to enjoy.
