Bank robbery suspect arrested

Colorado Springs, CO - Colorado Springs police robbery unit conducted a follow-up investigation on Tuesday around 7:00 p.m. on a suspect that they identified from two previous bank robberies.
The suspect, Roy Schmadeka, 45, was taken into custody and a search warrant was executed at his home. A large sum of money was recovered from the Schmadeka's home.
This investigation is still on-going, however, Robbery Detectives believe that Schmadeka was involved in the two bank robberies as well as 4 business robberies (Circle K, The Cellar Liquor Store, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Express.)
