Barricaded suspect in custody

Colorado Springs Police have a 29 year old former soldier in custody after he barricaded himself in his Stetson Hills home Saturday morning.

Police were called to the 3900 block of Summer Grace at about 3:30 a.m. by the suspect's wife after he alledgedly pointed a handgun at her.  Police were unsuccessful in contacting the suspect at that time.  The Tactical Enforcement Unit was called in.

Just after 8:00 a.m. a flash bang was set off by police and the suspect surrendered without incident.  He was arrested on felony menacing charges.

There were no evacuations, but neighbors were told to stay in their homes.
