Benefit planned for comedian

Stand up comics will unite Wednesday to fundraise for nationally acclaimed comedian Chris Fonseca.  The show is called "No Laughing Matter?" and will help with the medical bills of Chris' daughter, who has been hospitalized with diabetic ketoacidosis.

"Late Nite with David Letterman" alum Fonseca, known as "the original sit-down comic," will be joined by Vegas headliner Baglady Sue, Denver Improv member Vincent Vigil, and emcee Lloyd Woodby, the "Rocky Mountain High Specialist."

Coral is recovering at home now, but the bills are piling up, according to Fonseca's friends.

Tickets are available for a $10 donation.  The show opens at 7 p.m., November 28, at Loonees Comedy Club, 1305 N. Academy Blvd.  For more information click here or call 591-0707.
