PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 33-year-old inmate at Bent County jail in southeastern Colorado has been found dead of an apparent suicide.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the jail just after 9 p.m. Friday and found the man dead, but Sheriff David Encinias declined to release additional details, including the inmate's name.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports the sheriff's office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are looking into the death. The inmate was being housed in a segregation unit at the jail.
