WASHINGTON (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden says he hopes Osama bin Laden was wrong in his assessment that Biden would not be able to lead the nation if the president was killed.

Biden says bin Laden was wrong about lots of things.

It's an issue raised in some of the documents that were seized in last year's raid on bin Laden's Pakistan house and posted online last week by the U.S. Army's Combating Terrorism Center.

They show that bin Laden wanted to shoot down President Barack Obama's plane, reasoning that an assassination would elevate an "utterly unprepared" Biden to the presidency and plunge the U.S. into crisis.

Biden tells NBC's "Meet the Press" that he's never been accused of not being able to lead on national security issues.
