TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with lows in the low 20s in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, mid teens in Teller County.
***WINTER STORM WATCH in effect from late tonight through Wednesday afternoon for Northwestern Fremont County above 8500 feet, the Wet Mountains, Teller and Northern El Paso County. This includes Beulah, Woodland Park, Pikes Peak and Monument.
Travel may become hazardous due to a combination of heavy snow, blowing snow, poor visibilities and icy, snow covered roads...6 to 12 inches of snow accumulation POSSIBLE and strong southwest winds 15 to 30 mph becoming north to northeast 15 to 30 mph by Wednesday afternoon.
***BLIZZARD WATCH in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon for Pueblo, Crowley, Kiowa, and Western Las Animas County below 7500 feet, and the upper Huerfano River Basin below 7500 feet... this includes Pueblo, Walsenburg, Trinidad, Ordway, Eads and Sheridan Lake.
Expect hazardous travel conditions with icy, snow covered roads...1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation POSSIBLE by Wednesday evening...and blowing snow with north winds 20 to 30 mph with frequent gusts to 45 mph.***
WEDNESDAY: Blustery with gusty winds and a good chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy with highs only warming 1 or 2 degrees from the overnight lows. Highs in the mid to low 20s in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, near 15 in Teller County. North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph will create cold wind chills, blowing and drifting snow.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and cold with lows in the single digits. A low near 6 degrees in Colorado Springs, 1 in Pueblo and -1 in Teller County. The winds will only be 5 to 10 mph from the northwest, but that will still create negative value wind chills.
THURSDAY: Conditions will be dry, calm and about 20 degrees warmer with highs near 45 in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, near 30 in Teller County.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the teens.
FRIDAY - SUNDAY: Dry conditions continue with temperatures warming another 10 degrees with highs near 50 in the Springs and Pueblo, 40 in Teller. The first official day of Winter will be the warmest out of the seven with highs in the low to mid 50s in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, near 40 in Teller County. Mostly clear and cold overnights with lows near 20 in Colorado Springs and Teller County, near 15 in Pueblo.
CHRISTMAS EVE DAY: Partly sunny, calm and cooler thaN the weekend with highs near 40 in the Springs, near 45 in Pueblo, upper 30s in Teller.
