CSU-Pueblo's Colorado Springs campus plans a three-day workshop on bicycling, which includes a trip down Pikes Peak.

Classes include instruction on proper nutrition, riding strategy, and bicycle maintenance.

Bike Pikes Peak begins in the classroom at the Citadel Center, 730 Citadel Dr. Suite 300, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on both July 8 and 9 when participants will learn bicycle maintenance and use and healthy nutrition from registered dietitian Adam Korzun, outdoor guide Julie Drewa-Dunham, and Challenge Unlimited business owner Tina Campbell.

On Saturday, July 10, participants will gather at Challenge Unlimited, 204 South 24th Street in Colorado Springs where they'll be transported to the top of Pikes Peak. Students will bike down Pikes Peak with experienced guides and rental bicycles. The trek will end with lunch at Colorado Wineries.

Students will receive one Continuing Education Unit, and a non-credit certificate of Completion. The cost of the three-day workshop is $139 per person, which includes all equipment, breakfast and lunch on July 10. The workshop is limited to adults 18 and older.
