Black Forest Crime Scene

Investigators with the Metro Crime Lab, El Paso County Sheriff's Office, and 4th Judicial District Attorney's office are investigating a deadly deputy-involved shooting at 6480 Coolwell Drive in Black Forest. An EPSO spokesman says deputies were called to a disturbance and shots-fired call just after midnight Tuesday.
Deputies searched the forest for four hours before they found the 46-year-old unidentified suspect at around 4:45 a.m. He engaged in gunfire with deputies, who returned fire and hit and killed him. Other details remain unknown or withheld at this time.
