Over 2,500 families have been displaced by the Black Forest Fire.
Many evacuated from the fire have no idea whether or not their home may still be standing.
Some people we talked to today are upset for their loss, but overall happy to just be alive.
"I worry that my parents house is gone, the house I grew up in," said Maile Dreyfuss, who lives in Black Forest. "Just neighbors, everyone. We had friends who couldn't even get to their house because it was coming on so quick."
"I was raised in that house and I have so many memories," said Christina Bollwark, whose parents live in Black Forest. "Luckily we didn't have any big animals, no horses or goats."
Many evacuated were still trying to help others even through their own loss, some of them offering free food and whatever else they could.
Still the majority of them will remain displaced tonight, with only hope that their possessions might still remain.
