Tonight was another meeting of the Waldo Canyon-Black Forest fires mentor group. The meeting is an opportunity for survivors of the two fires to come together and share their experiences.
There are several roundtable groups to discuss a variety of concerns by local residents.
Mark Lowderman, the El Paso County Assessor, was on hand tonight to talk about what people can expect when they receive their property tax bills this year.
The El Paso County Commission sponsors these meetings about once a month. The goal is to provide firsthand experience to fire survivors on navigating the difficult process of restoring their lives to a more normal state.
