Body of man found on Rampart Range Road

Rescuers from El Paso County Search and Rescue along with investigators from the Colorado Springs Police Department found a body this morning off Rampart Range Road.

The Police Department received information Monday about a dead body, but found nothing until Tuesday. The dead person is an adult man, and police believe they know who he is, but they are now working to confirm the identity.

Detectives are handling the case as a suspected homicide. An autopsy is pending.
