A man who survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan in 1945 says people all around the world should oppose nuclear weapons.

On Monday, Keijiro Matsushima spoke to students at Pueblo Community College and Palmer High School in Colorado Springs.

Matsushima was 16-years old when the bombing happened. "I felt like I was thrown into an oven," Matsushima said. "I was so scared to death," he added.

During his speech as PCC, Matsushima urged the audience to oppose nuclear weapons. "This must not be used on a nation again," he said.
